Biographical Sketch:
  

Martin Mörck, a Norwegian engraver, was born on August 6, 1955 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Following artistic studies in his hometown from 1972 to 1975, he was an engraving apprentice under Arne Wallhorn at the Swedish Post. A prolific freelance engraver, he engraved about 500 stamps, Mörck wrote a book on portrait engraving in 2000. In 1998, he engraved his first Canadian stamp, the Polar Bear. Martin Mörck currently lives on Grötö Island, near Gothenburg, Sweden.
